Mercy Ships is accepting funds to assist with the Ebola situation in West Africa. With decades of experience and relationships with the affected nations, Mercy Ships will use its resources and partnerships as appropriate to meet the critical immediate needs for materials and supplies.
Our hospital ship is designed with multi-person wards for specialized surgical care and does not have sufficient isolation wards necessary to treat viral epidemics like Ebola.
In addition to providing support for current needs, Mercy Ships also recognizes the overwhelmed healthcare systems in these countries will need significant help in the years ahead once the outbreak is over.
